On May 15, a fisherman found a decomposed human body along Dry Creek near PFE Road and the Union Pacific rail yard, in an area frequented by transient rail riders.

The deceased person appears to be a male in his 20s or 30s, 5'4" tall with a slight build, with shoulder-length black hair and black facial hair.  The person appears to have been dead for some time, perhaps a few months, before the body was discovered.

The Placer County Coroner's Office has performed an autopsy and is working to identify the person and determine the cause of death.  There were no obvious signs of foul play.

Anyone who might know the identity of this person or any other information about this death is asked to call the Roseville Police Department's investigations unit at (916)774-5070.
