Saturday morning, Roseville Police officers recovered suspected stolen property, including some personal keepsakes that we'd like to get back to their rightful owner.

At about 3 a.m. January 30, an alert witness reported a suspicious man loitering in a driveway next to a parked car in the 1400 block of Tiffany Circle. An officer arrived in the area a few minutes later and contacted the man. They searched his car and found a laptop computer and paperwork belonging to an area resident who had accidentally left his car unlocked that night, and other suspected stolen property. Officers returned the laptop and paperwork to the victim, and took the other items for safekeeping, pending identification of their owner. Darrell Sean Bewley, age 32 of Newcastle, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft, possession of burglar’s tools and stolen property, and prowling on private property.

The suspected stolen property found in the suspect’s car consisted of military service medals and collector’s coins. If you've had such items stolen recently and can describe them, call Detective Uribe at (916) 746-1086.
