Safe, smart holiday shopping

Starting your holiday shopping?  Congratulations--Roseville is the best place to shop in the state! Have a great time and make the most of it by following a few common-sense safety rules.

Park in a well-traveled, well-lighted area of the parking lot. If you're making several stops, put your packages out of sight in the trunk or covered cargo area BEFORE you get to your next stop. If you wait until you park before hiding your packages, a thief might be watching.  ALWAYS roll up all your windows and lock your car, and NEVER leave your purse or wallet in the car.

If you see anyone suspicious in the parking lot, perhaps walking up and down the rows peeking into cars, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Speaking of your purse or wallet, lighten up. Carry just the cash and cards you actually plan to use. Keep your purse or wallet close to you and under your control at all times. Don't sling your purse over the back of your chair in a restaurant or put your wallet/purse/cell phone down and turn your back on them.

Wear comfortable clothes and walkable shoes. You'll have more stamina and you can shop longer!

Be aware of your surroundings. If anyone makes you uncomfortable, or you feel uneasy about walking to your car, don't hesitate to call security for assistance. That's what they're there for.

Finally--have a great time in the best retail destination in the Sacramento region!
