Start/Stop/Transfer Utility Service

If you are moving to the City of Roseville service area, we make it easy to start your electric, water, wastewater and garbage services. For any service requests, please allow at least two business days for your request to be processed.  If you need immediate assistance, please contact Customer Service at (916) 774-5300 or toll-free (800) 767-3142.  There is a forty dollar ($40.00) charge for same day service during business hours. Same day service is subject to availability.  There is an eighty-five dollar ($85.00) charge for same day service outside of regular business hours.  This service is available Monday – Friday from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm and is subject to availability.  Our office is closed weekends and holidays, and therefore no service requests will be processed during these days.

  • Service address(s)
  • Service request date
  • Name
  • Social security number
  • Driver’s license or state ID number
  • Current employer
  • New phone number
  • Work phone number

Utility Deposit Information

A deposit at each service location may be required.  New customers may request to have a utility credit inquiry completed in an effort to waive the deposit requirements.  For existing customers, deposits are based on a customer’s payment history and activity on their utility account.  Residential and Business customers may typically divide their deposit into installments on their monthly utility bills.  You may contact Customer Service at (916) 774-5300 or toll-free (800) 767-3142 for the deposit amount and options available to possibly waive the deposit.  Please have the address available that you are inquiring about, as the deposit may be unique to each service location.
