The Public Affairs & Communications Department serves all City departments providing accurate, consistent and timely information to residents, businesses, news media, city employees, community groups and others.
Our responsibilities include media relations, editorial briefings, direction, original programming for broadcast on City of Roseville Government Access TV (Comcast channel 14, Consolidated Communications channel 73), video streaming, advertising, presentation and media training, printed material, copy editing, speech writing, in-person presentations and participation in citywide and community-wide initiatives, as well as serving as the City's official spokesperson to news media.
The department leads the 20-member interdepartmental Communications Team, which offers a clearinghouse of marketing and public-affairs services to City departments and provides emergency communications during EOC activation. We publish the weekly e-newsletter and manage content and delivery for dozens of e-mail distribution lists.
