Due to overwhelming demand, current funding for the Program has been depleted. New program funding will be available after July 1, 2015. A waiting list has been established and new applications are being taken in the order in which they were received. Due to the implementation of mandatory drought restrictions, the program will now accept stressed or dying lawns if a dated photograph of living turf is submitted with the program application. Non-living turf must remain intact until pre-inspection is performed. Photos dated before March 1, 2014 will not be accpeted.
GREENER GARDENS TOUR
The 2015 Roseville Greener Gardens Tour and DIY Expo takes place Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Roseville Utility Exploration Center. The self-guided Greener Gardens Tour features local gardens reflecting some of the best examples of sustainable living in the region. Gardens are selected for their efficient use of water and participation in Roseville's Cash for Grass Rebate Program. The Greener Gardens Tour is $5 per family. To register, call us at 916-746-1550.
The free Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Expo features River-Friendly Landscaping Green Gardener professionals, University of California Master Gardeners and other industry experts. Displays include UC Davis Arboretum All-Star plants, the Greener Gardens Photo Gallery and exhibitors featuring water-wise products. Demonstrations include irrigation, composting, sheet mulching and more.
