About Station 8
Fire Station 8 is located at 1020 Winding Creek Way in an industrial park on the northern side of the city. This station is a temporary site until Fire Station 9 is completed in late 2012. The station covers a busy section of Highway 65, Crocker Ranch and portions of Del Webb Sun City.
Station 8 houses a fire engine, grass rig and Battalion 8. The engine is staffed with three personnel: a Captain, an Engineer and a Firefighter paramedic. The staff has the ability to use the grass rig when wildland incidents arise within the city. Battalion 8 is staffed by a Battalion Chief who is the shift supervisor and oversees major incidents such as structure fires, multi-vehicle car accidents and any other incidents that may require extensive management.
Station 8 boarders the cities of Lincoln and Rocklin. The Roseville Fire Department has a policy that allows these entities to call our department for mutual aid when needed. Because of our close relationship with these agencies, we often train together so we are well versed in each other’s procedures and tactics.
