Non-Emergency Service Fee proposal for licensed adult care facilities

The Roseville Fire Department is considering proposing the Roseville City Council establish a non-emergency medical service fee that would be assessed to licensed adult care facilities when licensed care facilities call 911 to access fire department paramedic service for non-emergency situations.

In 2012 and 2013, the fire department responded to 1,260 calls for non-medical services, which adversely affects a fire company's response reliability.

The Roseville Fire Department has set up four public workshops to discuss the proposal.
  • 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Tuesday September 2 at the Martha Riley Library, 1501 Pleasant Grove Boulevard.
  • 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Thursday September 4 at the Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Drive.

Hands Only CPR: Success Story

Most people who experience cardiac arrest at home, work or in a public location die because they don't receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene. As a bystander, don't be afraid. Your actions can only help.

Here is a Hands Only CPR Success Story recently produced by the Fire Department and City Media Staff.
