Latest News

City wins accounting and financial reporting award for 14th consecutive year
The City of Roseville has been recognized for excellence in governmental accounting and financial reporting by national governmental budgeting experts for the 14th consecutive year.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded Roseville the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the city's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

According to the GFOA, "the Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the city and its management."

City of Roseville 2015 Adopted Budget Document Now Available
News ImageThe City's Finance Department, Budget Division, produces the budget document that is approved annually by the City Council. This document allocates available resources to meet the direction of the City's mission, vision and values and the community’s priorities. The budget balances the planned expenditures with the projected revenues.

S&P raises Roseville credit rating
News ImageStandard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its issuer credit rating on the City of Roseville one notch to 'AA+' from 'AA' in its latest review published April 1. The upgrade is based on Roseville's strong economy, strong budget flexibility and strong budget management according to Standard & Poor's.

This credit rating upgrade has the potential to save the City hundreds of thousands of dollars with future bond issuances. The debt service savings to the City on the issuance of $35 million in bonds would be $500,000.

City of Roseville wins Operating Budget Excellence Award
The City of Roseville has been awarded an Excellence Award from the California Society Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) for the fiscal year 2012/13 annual budget document. This is the 10th consecutive year the City has won an award for its budget document from the CSMFO.
