Computer & Network Acceptable Use Policy

The City of Roseville’s Computer & Network Acceptable Use Policy is an effective way to help protect the City of Roseville’s computing and networking infrastructure from illegal or damaging actions by individuals, either knowingly or unknowingly. It is the responsibility of every computer user to know these guidelines.

The purpose of the Computer and Network Acceptable Use policy is to ensure that all City of Roseville computer and network resources are used for purposes appropriate to City of Roseville business.

This policy informs all employees, consultants, contractors, vendors, interns, volunteers and any other authorized user of City of Roseville about the applicability of laws and policies to computer and network usage. In addition, it also establishes policies on privacy, confidentiality, and security in electronic communications, and provides guidance concerning rights and responsibilities with respect to the proper use of City of Roseville computer and network resources.
