Public PCs

All PCs at Roseville Public Libraries are running the Windows 7 Professional operating system. All of the Pcs have Microsoft Office 2010 Professional installed for users to create documents, spreadsheets and more. All PCs have printing and Internet capabilities. Printing costs: black & white is $.20 and color is $0.50 per page.

PowerOn Services Mac Lab

The PowerOn Services Mac Lab is located at the Downtown Library. The Mac Lab is available for public use. The Mac Lab is used for our computer classes for the public. During class sessions the Mac Lab will be closed to the public. All of the Macs are running Lion OS X and currently have Open Office as their office suite, for users to create documents, spreadsheets and more. All Mac have printing and Internet capabilities. Printing costs: black & white is $.20 and color is $0.50 per page.

Chromebooks

Chromebooks are available for in library use only, they are not available for use outside the library, and are available on a first-come first-served basis. You must have a valid library card to check out the device. Chromebooks do not have printing capability. Learn more about Chromebooks.

E-Readers & Mobile Devices

The Library has Kindles and Nooks available for checkout. Both the Kindles and Nooks are preloaded with e-books. If you own your own e-reader, the Library offers classes and drop-in programs designed to teach you how to download library e-books and e-audiobooks to your mobile, tablet and e-reader devices using Overdrive and OneClick Digital. Registration and an Adobe ID may be required for some classes. No registration is required for the drop-in program.

Wireless Internet Access

All locations at the Roseville Public Library have wireless internet(WI-FI)access. To connect to the wireless internet, open your internet connection and select "library.rosenet.air" from the list of available network connections. After connecting to "library.rosenet.air", open up your browser and navigate to any web page that does not require sign in (i.e Google, Bing). A web page entitled "Blue Socket" will open. On the left hand side, of the page, in a yellow box will be a place to type in your email address. Type in your email address and hit log in. You will then be connected to the wireless internet. If you need help or have problems connecting, ask a staff member for assistance. Wireless printing is currently unavailable.
