Library VolunTeens
News ImageTeens, volunteer for the library for the Summer! Get volunteer hours, learn valuable skills, help plan teen programs, be a member of our Teen Library Council, and make new friends. To participate complete the application, sign the agreement then take it to one of our three locations to get started.

Requirements:
- All teens must have a government issued ID (State ID card, Drivers license, passport...)
- All teens must be fingerprinted (no cost to you)
- Attend an orientation to the program on either May 2, 10:30am at the Riley Library or May 6, 5:00pm at the Maidu Library
- Teens must commit to volunteering for at least 10 hours during the Summer




Like Totally 80's Retro Party

Bring your "rad" friends and go back to the 80's with a party filled with music, crafts, food, a Mario themed obstacle course and fun. Totally cool prizes and activities are sure to be a part of this retro-fitted gathering. Part of the Library's Summer Reading Program, registration is not required.

Teen Library Council
News ImageMeet other teens in your neighborhood, plan library events, recommend books, decorate teen spaces and help raise money for your library! This is a volunteer opportunity that's fun and looks great on job and college applications. Join us at our next meeting! For more information call (916) 774-5221.

News ImageThis drop-in program is a great way to learn how to download library eBooks and eAudiobooks to your mobile device. Please bring your device. No registration necessary. This is a free drop-in service for ages 10 an up.

Summertime is Road Trip Time
News ImageCure summertime boredom and get out of the house, while kickin’ it at some fun places! Work on your aim with laser tag and paintball, coast to our favorite surfing spot or burn rubber on the go kart tracks. Registration fee includes all field trips.
