Do you belong to a Neighborhood Watch group?
Neighborhood Watch is one of the most effective ways to prevent crime and help revitalize neighborhoods. Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the active participation of residents, in cooperation with law enforcement, to reduce crime in their communities.
Neighborhood Watch helps neighbors get to know each other and learn how to work together. At Neighborhood Watch meetings, residents are taught how ot recognize and report suspicious activities in their neighborhoods. The extra "eyes and ears" of aware neighbors help the police catch criminals. Neighborhood Watch can reduce crime and make neighborhoods safer places to live.
Neighborhood Watch is not necessarily a huge time commitment. You can organize and launch a group in just one meeting.
