Roseville Firefighters Limit Damage to Motorhome
Last Updated: 5/3/2011
Firefighters arrived to find the motorhome with smoke coming from the below-floor storage compartments. Unfortunately the driver, a repair technician test driving the motorhome, didn't have keys to access the storage area.
Firefighters worked carefully to access the compartments while causing as little damage as possible in the forced entry process. When the compartments were opened firefighters found that the contents of the compartments were on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished, limiting damage to the compartments and their contents, with no damage to the living area of the coach.
The cause of the fire was accidental, caused by an exhaust system malfunction. There were no injuries reported.
