Three City Council Seats up for Election

On November 6, 2012 city voters will select three members of our community to serve on the Roseville City Council. Of the three City Council seats available, two are currently held by Mayor Pauline Roccucci and Councilmember Carol Garcia. The third seat is held by Councilmember John Allard who is ineligible to be a candidate in the next election as the Roseville Charter stipulates that no member shall serve more than two (2) consecutive four (4) year terms, and Councilmember Allard has already served two consecutive terms.

A prospective candidate for City Council must be a Roseville resident who is at least 18 years of age or older, and be a registered voter of the City of Roseville.

The official nomination period opens Monday, July 16, 2012 and runs through Friday, August 10, 2012 at 5 p.m. This is the time frame in which candidates must file their official nomination paperwork with the City Clerk in order to appear on the ballot.

Prospective candidates must set an appointment to file the required documents by calling the Roseville City Clerk’s office at 916-774-5263.
