Past Exhibit - "Frank R. LaPena Collection"

Frank LaPena (Wintu-Nomtipom / Tenai) is a Professor Emeritus of Art and Ethnic Studies and the former Director of Native American Studies at California State University, Sacramento. He is a painter, poet, sculptor, traditional dancer and activist.
 
This collection, on loan from the California State University, Sacramento Department of Special Collections & University Archives, consists of various documents covering historic Native American events, Frank LaPena's own artwork and artwork of his fellow artists, including photographs by Dugan Aguilar and Francisco Dominguez.
