Goat Grazing Returns
Last Updated: 6/9/2016
Goats are once again grazing the open space and preserve areas to assist with vegetation control in the open space and preserve areas. Goats provide an innovative, environmentally sensitive way to eliminate fire hazards such as grass by keeping open space vegetation under control.
During the project a perimeter electrical fence surrounds the goat herds and companion dogs. Please do not touch the electrical fence. Please do not attempt to approach or feed the goats or companion dogs. The animals are accompanied by an on-site caretaker 24 hours per day.
Goats change locations throughout the open space as they finish eating the vegetation in one location and are needed in another.
