2015 IT Awards

Last Updated: 1/5/2016

The City of Roseville is pleased to announce receipt of two awards: one from Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC), and the other granted by the Center for Digital Government (CDG).  These awards are yet another reflection of all the hard work and dedication from your Information Technology Department.

The IT Department has been graciously awarded the Achievement award for Excellence in IT Practices – yet another year. This award is intended to foster and recognize outstanding technology governance and operation practices. The submission and evaluation process required the submission of a very detailed questionnaire that examined the business practices across ten different subject areas. The submission required not only a direct response to the question but also any supporting material that was appropriate to the questions/topics. The submission was evaluated and feedback given by a panel of three peer IT Directors (similar to GFOA financial audit process).  The photo above is from the 2015 MISAC Conference, where Sae and Tom were presented with this award.

In addition, the City of Roseville has been recognized in the top 10 Digital Cities within our population group (125,000-249,000).  The City of Roseville has been consistently ranked as one of the top 10 over the last 5 years.  This award program consistently demonstrates and recognizes the public entities, such as the City of Roseville, for effectively incorporating innovative technologies and leadership practices in the 21st century. This outstanding achievement was exceptionally challenging this year as we moved into a larger population category (Metropolitan) where Cities are much more progressive and competitive.
