Site preparation begins within Royer Park for next year's Downtown Bridges & Trail Project

Last Updated: 9/12/2017

Work began in late August on preparing the site within Royer Park for the upcoming Downtown Bridges & Trail Project. Working hours are scheduled for weekdays, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m., for approximately 30 days. The Royer Park parking lot will remain open to the public. Dietrich Drive will be closed intermittently.

This phase of construction includes streambed restoration and site preparation in anticipation for the 2018 refurbishment and rotation of the Rube Nelson "Ice House" Bridge, construction of the Taylor Street Bridge, and continuation of the multi-use trail into Royer Park.
