Take advantage of the fall front yard leaf pickup service
Last Updated: 9/7/2016
Roseville’s popular Fall Front Yard Leaf Pickup service begins October 31, 2016 through January 13, 2017, weather permitting.
Our dual-strategy residential program keeps fallen front yard leaves and debris from clogging public stormwater drains and washing into our creeks and streams, disturbing the sensitive ecological balance and threatening plants and wildlife.
We offer two residential front yard leaf pickup programs:
Unbagged Leaf Pick Up
In the Unbagged leaf area: We will provide free pickup of unbagged leaves in the city’s most densely treed areas, as shown on the map. Rake front-yard leaves into piles on the street in front of your home, keeping piles at least three feet from parked cars and away from storm drain inlets. Street Maintenance will come by with our “Tink” machine and load the piles into a refuse truck for recycling. Crews remove leaves during a regular rotation that runs from north to south every two weeks or so. View instructions.
Bagged Leaf Pick Up
In the Bagged leaf area: Street Maintenance will provide free curbside removal of bagged leaves. Put leaves in sealed trash bags weighing less than 40 pounds each and place the bags near the curb (without blocking the gutter). Call (916) 774-5842 and give us your name, address, home phone number, and the number of bags. Pickup days are Tuesdays and Fridays. View instructions.
Remember, crews cannot remove leaves from commercial properties, gated or private communities.
