Please join us in welcoming your new POP/Parks officer, Derek Anganes! Officer Anganes joins the police department’s POP (Problem Oriented Policing)/Social Services Unit with a focus on keeping the City’s 70+ parks, trails and open space areas clean and safe for all.

Vernon Street Town Square is also a city park, and you’ll often see Officer Anganes around, especially during concerts and other public events on Vernon Street. He’ll also work with Officer O’Rourke and the City’s park maintenance and open space staff on clean-up issues. While Officer Anganes is new to this assignment, he’s not new to Roseville—he grew up here and has worked for Roseville PD for eight years, including the past three as a police officer.

The addition of Officer Anganes to the POP unit allows Officer O’Rourke to focus more time on our business districts, working with business owners, service providers and other community partners to solve problems and maintain Roseville’s high quality of life.

If you have a safety concern in a park, along the trails, at your business or anywhere else in the City of Roseville, always start by calling police dispatch as soon as possible. Call 911 if it’s an emergency, or 916-774-5000 extension 1 for a non-emergency, so that we can address your problem in a timely manner.
