Competitive Aquatic Teams
The City of Roseville offers one pre-competitive program and one competitive swim team during the spring and summer. The Sea Lions pre-competitive program is open to boys and girls ages 5-14. This program offers a similar experience to a summer recreation swim team without the time commitment for Saturday swim meets. For a more competitive experience, boys and girls ages 5-18 are welcome to tryout in early spring for the Woodcreek SeaWolves. This team relies heavily on parent participation and volunteerism.
Pre-Competitive Program (Roseville Sea Lions)
Program Details: This team will practice 4 days a week, for 45 minutes to an hour each day. The team will have one inter-squad meet, and one organized water polo game at the end of the program. Three days a week will be focused on competitive swimming (strokes, starts, turns, and conditioning), and the fourth day will be focused on water polo. The goal of this program is to be able to allow more children to participate, as well as prepare them for competitive aquatics in the future.
