The Police Business Academy is designed to educate members of the Roseville business community in various crime prevention techniques, the process of crime reporting and how to collaborate with the police to reduce opportunities for crime against their business.
This Academy focuses on providing information that both employees and owners can use daily to protect businesses from being a victim of crime. The goal is to create a collaborative engagement with the business community and make Roseville a safer place to live, work and shop.
Some of the Academy topics include:
- Chief Daniel Hahn on Police-Business relations
- Active shooter at your business
- Calling 911 to report a crime or suspicious activity
- Credit Card fraud and counterfeit money – trends and tips for detection
- Drugs and law changes
- Police Officer simulations – walk in the shoes of a responding officer
- Crime prevention, tips, and business security
Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. The next Academy is scheduled for Wednesday, July 12, 19, and 26 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. It is strongly encouraged participants attend all three sessions. Topics are subject to change if needed.

Potential candidates for the Police Business Academy must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Own or employed in a Roseville business
All applications must be received by June 30, 2017.

Any criminal convictions, any previous actions which could reflect unfavorable on the Roseville Police Department, any suggestion that you may be a security risk, or any attempt to deceive or conceal pertinent information will be cause for denial of this application.
