Become a Police Officer

Roseville Police Officers relentlessly perform sworn law enforcement and crime prevention duties involved in the protection of life and property along with a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of law enforcement services and activities.

There are three avenues in which an applicant can become a Roseville Police Officer: Trainee, Academy Graduate, and Lateral.

The Trainee avenue is designed for applicants that need to attend a P.O.S.T. approved academy.  The Academy Graduate avenue is designed for applicants that are currently enrolled in a California P.O.S.T. approved academy and graduates of a P.O.S.T approved police academy that have less than one (1) year experience as a police officer.  The Lateral avenue is designed for applicants that have more than one (1) year experience as a police officer with a California P.O.S.T. certified agency.  Learn more about each avenue by clicking out the following links.
