Join us for our gardening workshops, which are designed to follow key seasonal tasks to help you keep your garden healthy, beautiful and water-wise. Gardening workshops are taught by Placer County Master Gardeners, City of Roseville Water Efficiency staff and other industry experts who have the know-how to help you keep your landscape sustainable and beautiful. All workshops are hosted at the Utility Exploration Center (1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd) unless otherwise noted.

All gardening workshops are for ages 14 and up and cost $6 for Roseville residents or $8 for non-residents unless otherwise noted.

Did you know yard debris and kitchen scraps can improve your soil? It’s true! Composting reduces waste sent to the landfill, helps you create your own free fertilizer and saves water. Learn about bins, equipment and materials used in a variety of composting styles. Each participating household will receive a free compost bin. Compost bins are large - truck, van or SUV needed to transport.

This workshop will be held at the Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Dr.

Does messing with your watering system “irrigate” you? Get hands-on experience with hassle-free spray and drip repairs, easy electrical troubleshooting and simple irrigation timer tricks. Taught by the City of Roseville’s Water Efficiency experts, these free workshops will provide you with the experience you need to take control of your irrigation system. These workshops are being offered as part of Fix-a-Leak Week.

Tune Up Your Trees

Trees add life and beauty to our surroundings, provide shade and oxygen and increase the value of your property. Keeping your trees healthy requires regular tree maintenance. Could your trees use a tune-up? Local arborists will share information about general tree care, watering schedules, mulch, fertilization and pruning.
