The Police Business Academy is designed to educate members of the Roseville business community in various crime prevention techniques, the process of crime reporting and how to collaborate with the police. This two-day, 16-hour academy is free of charge and is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 18 and March 25. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. This Academy focuses on providing information that both employees and owners can use daily to protect businesses from being a victim of crime. The goal is to create a collaborative engagement with the business community and make Roseville a safer place to live, work and shop. Academy topics include hiring practices, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, business security, violence in the workplace, personal safety, internal theft, transient issues, counterfeiting, high tech crimes, what happens after an arrest is made, and high tech crime. Session facilitators include Roseville police officers and professional staff, members of the business community, Secret Service agents, and Placer County assistant district attorneys.
The Police Business Academy is scheduled for March 18th at Gallina LLP (925 Highland Pointe Dr, Suite 450) and March 25 at the Police Department’s Mark White Room (1051 Junction Blvd). Attendance at both sessions is required.
