6th Cap & Trade Auction Complete
According to the State Legislative Analyst's Office (LAO), between November 2012 and November 2013, the five previous Cap & Trade auctions generated a total of about $532 million in State revenue.

With Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) increasing from 20% to 33% by 2020, California legislators are already considering increasing these standards to 40% or even 50%.

Cybersecurity Remains a Critical Concern
Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) plans to offer his cybersecurity bill, the Cybersecurity Act of 2013, as an amendment to the Defense authorization bill in November.

The measure is far more modest than legislation that Rockefeller and other Senate Democrats backed last year. That bill would have pressured critical infrastructure companies, such as banks and power plants, to meet minimum cybersecurity regulations.
