Roseville Electric Employees Support the Community

Roseville Electric's 120 employees donated $28,000 to local charities this year through the City's REACH campaign. The campaign is a voluntary giving program for employees to set aside a portion of their pay to support local non-profit groups.

In December, the employees also provided more than $900 in gifts – wrapped and delivered – to 35 residents at the Roseville Care Center.  In addition, Electric employees provided an extra $900 to local charities, including the Placer Food Bank, from the sale of candy, treats, and soda in the department’s break room.

Roseville Electric employees began the tradition of providing gifts to Roseville Care Center residents about 20 years ago when an employee stopped by the facility to inform them about upcoming maintenance work that would affect the facility. While in the Center, the employee noticed many gift tags were still on the Center’s Angel Tree. So he grabbed them, collected donations from his co-workers, and bought and delivered gifts to the residents.
