The City of Roseville continues to take significant steps to address the complex issues related to homelessness.
The City’s Homeless Response Team, a cross-departmental team comprises staff from various departments and divisions, including Economic Development, Parks Recreation and Libraries, the Roseville Police Department, the Housing Division, Public Affairs and Communications, and the City Attorney’s Office, meets regularly to address the ongoing effects of homelessness on the community at large, as well as those experiencing homelessness.
The City Council and city leaders are committed to addressing the impacts of homelessness for all persons in the community and support solutions that are fair, legal, and reduce the impacts caused by homelessness.
There have been recent court decisions that have impacted the way cities, including Roseville, have traditionally addressed homelessness. Additionally, there has been an influx of State and Federal resources provided to cities to address the impacts of homelessness.
