The 251-acre Plan Area is located east of Interstate 80 and is centered on Douglas Boulevard and Sunrise/North Sunrise Avenue. The boundaries of the Specific Plan are generally defined by Lead Hill Boulevard to the north, Coloma Way to the south, Rocky Ridge Drive to the east, and Interstate 80 to the west.
The Specific Plan provides streamlining for improvements to commercial buildings, allows multifamily residential uses in commercial zones, and provides streamlining for up to 600 additional residential units in the Plan Area. The intent of the Specific Plan is to support reinvestment and redevelopment within the corridor.
The Specific Plan was adopted by City Council on December 21, 2022.
