Park Naming Update:

The naming of new parks occurs once a year during the month of July. New parks, approved for construction, are eligible to be named.

This year, we have three parks to name:

  • C-63 Neighborhood Park – This 2.5 acre park site is located in the Creekview area. The streets surrounding the park are Lemonade Lane, Treehouse Lane, Lower Bank Drive and Grass Creek Drive. The park will have a half court for basketball, a children’s play and swing area, a picnic area, walkways, turf and landscaping.
  • KT-52 School/Park – This 7.6 acre park site is located in the Sierra Vista plan area on Sierra Village Drive at Silver Spruce, west of Westbrook Boulevard. It is located adjacent to a future elementary school. Plans for this site include a youth cricket/multi-use field, a children’s play area, a picnic area, a full sized basketball court, off-street parking, a looped pathway, a nature play area and landscaping.
  • FD-51 Neighborhood Park – This is a 1.1 acre neighborhood park site and is located in the Sierra Vista plan area. The park backs onto open space and is at the corner of Earl Rush Drive and Market Street. The park will include a small turf area and a picnic pavilion. The site will also include trees and natural trails.

The name suggestion period will begin July 1, 2024. Suggestions are to be submitted on the name suggestion form and delivered to the Clerk’s Office or emailed to [email protected] no later than July 31, 2024 at 3 pm.
