Planning is underway on a project to widen Roseville Parkway, between Gibson Drive and Creekside Ridge Drive intersections. Roadway improvements at the Pleasant Grove Boulevard intersection are also included.
This six-lane arterial roadway links regional shopping and dining destinations, office buildings, and residential neighborhoods.
The project will be constructed in two phases and is part of the City Council-approved Capital Improvement Plan.
Phase 1:
• Adding a third left-turn lane on southbound Pleasant Grove Boulevard onto eastbound Roseville Parkway.
• Extending the right turn lane on northbound Pleasant Grove Blvd to eastbound Roseville Parkway.
• Adding a bus turnout on Roseville Parkway between West Drive and Reserve Drive.
• Constructing intersection improvements at Roseville Parkway and Galleria Boulevard.
Phase 2:
• Constructing remaining infrastructure to widen Roseville Parkway from 3 lanes to 4 lanes in each direction from Creekside Ridge Drive to the eastern end of Gibson Drive
- The westbound direction will be widened between Creekside Ridge Drive and Gibson Drive (east).
- The eastbound direction will be widened between Reserve Drive and Creekside Ridge Drive.
The project also involves:
• Intersection improvements including modifications to existing traffic signals.
• Construction of new lanes, sidewalks, curbs and gutters where necessary.
• Updated signage and pavement striping along the project route.
• Necessary utility adjustments.
The project is currently in the design phase.
Stakeholder engagement began in summer 2022.
Construction estimated to occur in two phases.
• Phase 1: Approximately summer 2025 - spring 2026
• Phase 2: When adequate funding is identified, which could be as soon as 2028-29.

The Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration were available for public review and comment from March 8 to April 8, 2024 (30 days).

Design
Funding for the design phase is provided by developer-paid Traffic Mitigation Fees. These fees are gradually collected as development occurs and help the City to construct transportation projects identified in the
Capital Improvement Program. Improvements address anticipated traffic impacts from new and existing development projects.

Construction
Phase 1 construction is anticipated to be approximately $6 million and is fully funded through a combination Community Facilities District funding and developer-paid Traffic Mitigation Fees.
Phase 2 construction is anticipated to be approximately $12 million. The City is pursuing funding opportunities, including state and federal grants.
