Sensory Kits

Did you know that PRL offers sensory kits? Participants may request to borrow a kit during programs.

The benefits of fidget toys can help calm a person's nerves, relieve stress and serve as a distraction in an overstimulating environment. The toy pulls the user away from any particular stressful thought or situation and provides a temporary form of relief.

Here's a peek at one of our kits:

Headphones
Along with Sensory Kits, we can also provide noise canceling headphones to borrow during a program or event.

The benefits of noise canceling for participants with sound sensory challenges is that the participant may be able to better handle loud or chaotic environments.

headphones

How to request use:
Both sensory kits and headphones are provided upon request in all adaptive & inclusive programs. To request use of either during the program, email [email protected]. In the email include the course/event name, date and participant's name. Requests must be received two business days prior to the start of the program.

The sensory kits and headphones listed above may be used during a program or event. However, did you know that our libraries have kits that can be checked out and used for an extended time period? For more information about the library sensory kits, click here
