Beat 1 (northeast Roseville)
Harding/Galleria, theft: At about 1:30 a.m. November 26, a resident of the 700 block of Gibson Drive checked a noise and saw a man rummaging in an unlocked car. The suspect, described as a thin white male, about 5’8” tall wearing dark clothing, gloves and a surgical mask, ran away. Officers surrounded the area and searched with the help of Rocklin PD and CHP’s helicopter, but couldn’t find the suspect. The owner of the car checked and said a GPS unit and cable were taken. Beat 2 (east Roseville)
Johnson Ranch, garage burglary: Between November 25 and November 29, someone stole a gray Trek 21-speed bike from a garage in the 1400 block of Aberdeen Circle. The victim thought it probably happened during the day Saturday, when they had the garage door open while doing yard work. (2017-79923)
Cirby Ranch/South Cirby, vandalism: Overnight November 25/26, someone vandalized numerous vehicles on Vista Creek Drive and other areas in the area, throwing pumpkins and other objects at them. Officers are investigating. (2017-79228 and several more)
Lead Hill/Olympus Point, stolen car recovered: At 9:50 p.m. November 25, officers were patrolling a store parking lot in the 1400 block of Lead Hill Blvd. and found a Ford Explorer that had been reported stolen from Reno. They followed the SUV and tried to stop it, but the driver sped away and drove to a nearby residential street, Nunzia Court, where he and his passenger abandoned the stolen car and ran away. Officers detained the female passenger, but the man ran away and hid. Officers searched the area with the help of a Rocklin Police Department K9 and CHP’s helicopter. CHP’s helicopter crew located the man hiding in a backyard on Paizano Court, and officers took him into custody without further incident. Officers found out that the female passenger was suspected of scamming and stealing the SUV from a 70-year-old woman in Reno. The driver, a 22-year-old Reno man, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and evading a police officer. The passenger, a 41-year-old Reno woman, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft, elder abuse, conspiracy, giving a false name, possession of drug paraphernalia, and outstanding warrants from Sonoma County and the state of Nevada. Lead Hill, truck stolen: Between 3:30 and 5:30 a.m. November 28, someone stole a black 2009 Dodge Ram pickup from the area of Douglas Blvd. and North Sunrise Ave. (2017-79521)
Beat 3 (central Roseville south of the rail yard)
Cresthaven, vehicle theft: Overnight November 22/23, someone stole a 2001 Toyota Tundra pickup from an apartment parking lot at 333 Cirby Way. Later on November 23, CHP found the truck abandoned in Sacramento. (2017-78486)
Cresthaven, theft: Overnight November 30/December 1, someone stole a catalytic converter from a Toyota Sequoia parked in the 1100 block of Cresthaven Drive. (2017-80236)
Theiles, vehicle theft: Overnight November 22/23, someone stole a black 1995 Honda Accord from 5th Street near B Street, and then abandoned it with the engine running in an apartment complex parking lot at 333 Cirby Way (where they probably went on to steal a Tundra pickup---see entry above.) Folsom Road, burglary: At 11:06 p.m. November 26, officers were patrolling the 200 block of Harding Boulevard and found a charity thrift store had a broken door. They contacted a manager and it was confirmed that the store had been burglarized and merchandise taken. (2017-79271)
Beat 4 (central Roseville north of the rail yard):

Beat 5 (north central Roseville)
Highland Reserve, DUI-related collision: At 9:08 p.m. November 27, officers and Roseville Fire personnel responded to reports of a vehicle into a tree on Pleasant Grove Boulevard near Winslow Drive. Officers determined that a man was driving eastbound on Pleasant Grove Blvd. when he lost control of his car, crossed over the center median and ended up on the sidewalk on the north side of the roadway. Street signs and trees were damaged. Officers arrested the driver, a 20-year-old Granite Bay man, on suspicion of DUI and resisting/delaying officers. (2017-79521)
Highland Reserve, package theft: Between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. November 29, someone cut open a package that had been delivered to a porch in the 100 block of Talmont Circle and stole items. (2017-79985) The best way to foil “porch pirates” is to make sure that packages don’t sit on your porch for a long time. Schedule and track your deliveries. If you’re not going to be home, have a neighbor pick them up, or have them delivered to an Amazon locker, the UPS store or held at the post office or store for pickup.
Beat 6 (west Roseville)
Woodcreek, hit and run collision: At 10:43 p.m. November 30, officers responded to a non-injury hit and run collision on Baseline Road near Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. Their investigation determined that a man driving a black Ford Mustang was doing donuts in the intersection, lost control and crashed into a tree. Another car was approaching the intersection, and that driver took evasive action to avoid hitting the Mustang. He crashed into a fence.The Mustang driver got out and fled from the scene on foot. Officers later found the suspected Mustang driver, a 29-year-old Roseville man, at home and arrested him on suspicion of hit-and-run and reckless driving. (2017-80236)
Blue Oaks, medical assist: At 4:07 a.m. November 23, officers responded to a report of a woman screaming near Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard and Blue Oaks Boulevard. Officers responded, contacted the woman and had medical personnel respond to the scene. An ambulance crew took the woman to the hospital for a medical issue. (2017-78439)
Blue Oaks, suspicious activity: At about 8 p.m. November 29, a group of teens went to Diamond Creek Elementary School to sell some video game equipment. They had arranged the sale over the internet with a buyer they didn’t know. Three males showed up to meet the teens for the sale. The teens felt that the buyers were about to rob them, so they ran away toward neighboring houses yelling, causing a few neighbors to call 911. No robbery or other crime occurred. An officer responded, contacted the boys and talked to them about safer ways to sell items. We recommend conducting private sale transactions in a brightly lit, busy public place with video camera coverage and lots of other people around. (2017-79967)
West Park and Fiddyment Farms, vandalism: Overnight November 20/21, someone threw an object and broke out the window of a car in the 4300 block of Bob Doyle Drive. The next night, someone threw an object and broke out the window of a car in the 2100 block of Lemontree Way. (2017-78003, 78284)
West Park, prowler: At about 2:50 a.m. November 26, a resident’s video surveillance system picked up images of a man trying car doors on Hightrail Court. He stole a small item from one apparently unlocked car. His face wasn’t clear, but he was wearing shorts and a hat. The same night, someone rummaged through unlocked cars nearby on Kinsella Court. This is a good reminder to lock all doors and remove all valuables from cars, especially wallets, purses and garage remotes. (2017-79215)
