FAB Memberships & Drop-In
FAB programming is in full swing at the Maidu Community Center and the Mahany Fitness Center, offering a variety of programs at both locations. These programs are designed for anyone over the age of 50 to come and enjoy. Participation in activities require a FAB membership or paying the daily drop-in fee ($5).

Types of Activities
We offer a wide range of activities to FAB participants. A sampling of these activities include:
  • Clubs: Genealogical Society and Color Therapy
  • Active Programs: Maidu Singers, Wii Sports, Bocce Ball
  • Support Groups: Parkinson's, Widowed Person, Alzheimer's Caregivers, and Looking Forward (Low Vision & Blind)
  • Variety of workshops and presentations from professional health and aging agencies
  • Day Trips, Potlucks, Luncheons
  • Bingo, Bunco, Knit & Crochet, Pinochle, Quilting, Mahjong, Movies, Hand & Foot, Canasta, and so much more!

Senior (50+) Prom
Saturday, April 26th, 5:00-8:00pm, Woodcreek Golf Club, 5880 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd
  • Enjoy a memorable and elegant evening of food, dancing, and priceless memories. Ticket includes plated gourmet meal, drink ticket, and raffle entry. Evening concludes with the crowning of our very own prom king and queen. Meal entrée options are tri-tip, chicken marsala, or a vegetarian pasta dish. The drink ticket includes a glass of either white or red wine and raffle prizes consist of fitness passes, a round of golf, tickets to special events, and more!
  • FAB Members: $55          Non-FAB Members: $65 
    • Ticket prices go up $10.00 starting March 1st!

Private Movie Screening at Blue Oaks Theater: A League of Their Own
Wednesday, February 12, doors open at 12:30pm and movie starts at 1:00pm
  • Enjoy a fun afternoon with friends at a private screening of "A League of Their Own." This fan-favorite movie will be back on the big screen just for us!
  • Fee includes ticket cost and a private theater reserved ONLY for FAB!
  • Theater will be available at 12:30pm and the movie will start promptly at 1:00pm
    • There will be no previews, so please be there on time.

  • No transportation provided- encouraged to carpool with friends!

Letters of Love
Thursday, February 13, 10-11:30am, Maidu Community Center

  • Spread the love this season by making cards that will support "Letters of Love," an international non-profit organization that provides emotional support for patients in children's hospitals around the world. Card decorating supplies and light refreshments will be provided. 
  • FAB Members: $10          Non-FAB Members: $15

Water Coloring Workshop
Wednesday, February 12, 9-11am, Mahany Fitness Center
  • Show off your love for watercolor! At this senior-friendly adult class, we will create heart shapes with layers of color through step-by-step instruction and live demonstrations by a professional artist. No experience necessary and all materials provided. 
  • FAB Members:$50          Non-FAB Members: $55

Refer-A-Friend Program

  • Refer a friend to become a FAB member and receive some awesome FAB Swag in return!
  • Instructions: Must be a current FAB member to participate. Referral is completed once friend has joined FAB as a member. Complete the FAB referral card that is available at both the Maidu Community Center and the Mahany Fitness Center front desk. Have your friend present the completed referral card to the front desk once they purchase a membership and you will receive your prize! 
  • You will receive different prizes based on the number of friends you refer to the FAB Program. Refer to the flyer listed below for more details.
