The Roseville Fire Department was organized in 1907. Fire Commissioners organized a volunteer fire department with W.B. Musson elected as Fire Chief and W.T. Butler as Assistant Fire Chief. Chiefs Musson and Butler were charged with selecting 16 volunteers to staff two hose carts in order to provide fire protection for the community. This was the start to a humble beginning of the Roseville Fire Department as it is known today.
