The Human Resources Department is responsible for the City's recruitment process, labor relations, affirmative action, health plan administration, employee records maintenance, risk management, employee training and development as well as the Roseville Volunteer Center. Stacey Peterson serves as the City's Human Resources Director.
- The Risk Management section is responsible for creating a safe work environment for employees and a safe City for its citizens by administering safety training and maintaining OSHA compliance, assuring safe and healthy work environments, administering liability insurance programs, and responding to citizen and employee safety concerns.
- The Employment Services section supports the City’s hiring and promotion processes. This section also acts as a resource for a wide variety of services including compensation and health and welfare benefit administration.
- The Organization and Development staff enhances the City's workforce by assessing departmental needs, and developing and delivering programs to ensure an available talent pool for the workforce of tomorrow.
- The Volunteer Center, not only provides opportunities to volunteer with the City but promotes community involvement by partnering with businesses and non-profit organizations to develop a volunteer network.
