Summer Reading Banner2024 Summer Reading Challenge

June 1 - August 3, 2024

READ. IMAGINE. EXPLORE. is Roseville Public Library's annual Summer Reading Challenge for all ages. The program aims to promote the love of reading, provide high-quality summer programs and encourage lifelong learners and library users. We also aim to increase the engagement and participation of children, teens and adults in the public library's summer reading programs.

Research shows children lose up to two months of reading achievement over summer break. This learning loss is cumulative summer after summer. Our hope is to stop this significant loss by offering our summer reading program, encouraging families to visit the library and to read together. Programs will be offered for youth from birth to age 17 that support early literacy development and independent reading skills while celebrating the joy of reading for pleasure. Adults can mentor the love of reading and we encourage them to set an example by participating in the reading challenge.

Pick up a reading log at any Roseville Public Library location or Summer Reading event. Complete the challenge by filling in your log to earn a FREE book and enter the grand prize drawing. Keep reading to earn more entries. The more you read, the more you win! Reading logs available June 1.

Summer Reading Challenge is sponsored by Friends of the Roseville Public Library.
