The City of Roseville has been recognized for excellence in governmental accounting and financial reporting by national government finance experts for the 18th consecutive year.
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded Roseville the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the City's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for fiscal year 2020-21.
"This is a very prestigious award and represents the extraordinary time, care and effort given to producing our financial statements each year," said Dennis Kauffman, the City of Roseville Chief Financial Officer and Assistant City Manager.
According to the GFOA, "the Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the city and its management. It demonstrates a constructive spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate the City’s financial story.”

The City also received GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for our fiscal year 2022-23 budget. According to the GFOA, the award “reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting.”
“We are dedicated to providing our financial and budget information in ways that are understandable to our residents. Each year we also produce a “Budget in Brief” with an overview of that fiscal year’s budget, and we recently launched Open Budget to the public with detailed, interactive data dedicated specifically to the City’s budget,” said Kauffman.
