With temperatures expected to be over 100 degrees, energy conservation during peak hours (4-9 p.m.) is crucial. Here are some energy saving tips from your locally-owned Roseville Electric Utility.

Raising your AC temperature is one of the most effective ways to save energy. Try setting your thermostat to 78 degrees or higher, if health permits.

More helpful tips:
  • Limit the use of ovens, stoves, dishwashers, and laundry machines.
  • Close your blinds to block the sun's heat.
  • Use ceiling fans that spin counterclockwise.

All of these are good ways to help save energy and preserve your home's internal temperature.
