Hydroelectric Adjustment this Fiscal Year
The hydroelectric adjustment is based on the hydroelectric generation forecasts received from Northern California Power Agency and Bureau of Reclamation, and the expected market cost of power to replace the reduced hydroelectric generation. The hydroelectric adjustment charge is used to offset the cost to purchase replacement energy due to lower-than-average hydroelectric generation. The hydroelectric adjustment charge for electric bills in the months of July 2024 through June 2025 will be $0.00157/kWh or $1.23 per month for the average Roseville residence.
As of May 1, the Fiscal Year 2025 hydroelectric generation forecast is at 89% of normal generation which is why Roseville Electric Utility's customers will have a hydroelectric adjustment charge on their bills between July 2024 and June 2025.
This fiscal year’s hydroelectric adjustment charge is approximately 30% lower than last year.
