Join us in the Big Day of Giving, Sacramento Region Community Foundation’s annual 24-hour movement to raise funds for nonprofit organizations that strengthen our area. These groups have also felt the impacts of COVID-19.

Sutter Health - Resources needed
• N95 masks or equivalent (i.e. P100, N99, R95 etc.)
• Powered, air-purifying respirator (PAPR) hoods
• Surgical masks
• Procedure masks
• Isolation gowns
• Paper masks (with ties or elastic)
• Paper protective gowns
• Protective glasses/goggles
• Industrial face shields (e.g. paint shields)
• Painters smocks (impermeable)

Californians For All - Volunteers needed
#CaliforniansForAll unites organizations in desperate need of volunteers with Californians looking to serve and share their commitment to their neighbors, while ensuring stay-at-home and physical distancing protocols are met. The initiative will focus on recruiting younger Californians to help the most vulnerable throughout the state, including the elderly who are at higher risk of infection.
Californians are encouraged to join #CaliforniansForAll by signing up at californiansforall.ca.gov. Participants will receive an email from California Volunteers with information on what they can do in real time to help out, and those who opt in to volunteer will be contacted by local nonprofit partners when opportunities open up in their area.

Eskaton - Volunteers needed
Eskaton’s Telephone Reassurance Program provides participants comfort and connection during the COVID-19 pandemic, and year-round, to older adults.
Joining Eskaton’s Telephone Reassurance Program connects volunteers and older adults by phone (1-866-375-2866). The program is free and calls can be made up to seven days a week.

The Placer Food Bank has been distributing food and nourishing our community since our beginning as the Community Resource Council in 1970. The organization was founded to provide services to low-income and needy individuals and families in Roseville and surrounding areas.

Kids First - Counseling & Family Resource Centers - Donations needed
As we all work together to protect our community, families are in crisis and Placer County children are one of the most vulnerable victims of shelter-in-place.
Families are overwhelmed...Unemployment is soaring...Schools are closed...putting kids at risk of neglect and abuse.
How you can help - April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Help them raise much-needed funds through our "virtual" pinwheel campaign.
They are also running periodic "food, diaper and household item" donation drives so they can provide every-day necessities to their current clients.

The Gathering Inn (TGI) - Donations needed
The Gathering Inn (TGI) is a multifaceted, multi-location agency serving over 185 homeless men, women, and children each and every day right here in Placer County through programs at four separate locations. Their Vision is to end homelessness in our community.
They are still open, providing services, accepting donations, and can retrieve items from your vehicle via curbside pull-up.
Donation items needed: Towels /large & hand, diapers / size 4 & up, diaper wipes, paper/plastic bowls, paper/plastic cups, plastic knives, spoons, forks, toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, hand sanitizer, clorox wipes, laundry detergent, bleach, other miscellaneous cleaning supplies. Every little bit helps!!!

Lighthouse Counseling & Family Resource Center - Donations needed
Their mission is "to strengthen families and improve the physical and emotional well-being of residents of Placer County by providing counseling, education, and easy access to community based resources". Lighthouse provides counseling, case management to individuals and families that need help during difficult times. Their counselors are trained in child abuse and neglect prevention, attachment disorders, domestic violence, trauma and other family related issues.
Donation items needed: Disposable diapers (especially size 5), wipes, gift cards (for food, diapers, gas), and monetary donations.
