Lower permit fees for home-based businesses

Updated July 11, 2024
To encourage small businesses, home-based business permit fees have been lowered from $175 to $50.

A Home Occupation Permit is required for businesses operating from a personal residence where the residents are the employees.

Examples of home-based businesses are accountants, independent consultant services, micro businesses, graphic and web designers, start-ups, artists and crafters, where the residents are the employees.

Home-occupied businesses are regulated by the Roseville Municipal Code chapter 19.42.
