Successor Agency to the former Redevelopment Agency
On December 29, 2011, the California Supreme Court issued its ruling in California Redevelopment Association et al. v. Ana Matosantos et al. The Court upheld AB1x26, invalidated AB1X27, and extended all statutory deadlines under AB1X26. As of February 1, 2012, redevelopment agencies throughout the State ceased to exist. Read more.
On January 23, 2012, the Roseville City Council adopted a resolution confirming that the City of Roseville would serve as the Successor Agency to the dissolved Redevelopment Agency of City of Roseville effective February 1, 2012.
In its capacity as the Successor Agency, the City will:
- prepare a draft Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule (“ROPS”) for each fiscal year;
- submit a draft ROPS to the Placer County Consolidated Oversight Board for approval;
- wind down all of the affairs of the dissolved Redevelopment Agency;
- prepare administrative budgets and pay administrative costs; and
- attend to any other legislative requirements of the Agency
