The City of Roseville recognizes the majority of health outcomes are driven by where people live, work and play. Roseville’s Invest Health Initiative is a partnership with the City of Roseville and the Health Education Council to increase safety, walkability, physical activity, access to healthy affordable food, and improve connection to social services, health, and mental health services in Roseville’s downtown core neighborhoods. The Health Education Council serves as the lead agency for the Invest Health Team which is comprised of city leaders, representatives from neighborhood associations, health care, business, education, and residents.

As part of the Invest Health Initiative, in partnership with other local organizations, the City of Roseville is focusing on making healthy improvements in these neighborhoods. Through feedback from residents and stakeholders, we learned that improving safety, increasing physical activity and strengthening connections are priorities. We are listening!!

Roseville's Invest Health initiative is made possible by a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and Reinvestment Fund with the aim to improve health in low-income neighborhoods. Roseville was one of 50 communities nationwide selected to receive this 18-month grant in May 2016. Recognizing that the majority of health outcomes are driven by where people live, work, play, pray, shop and learn, the Invest Health Roseville initiative seeks to develop a plan to improve health through cross-sector community collaborations that can foster and develop more healthful environments.
