City wins accounting and financial reporting award for 14th consecutive year

The City of Roseville has been recognized for excellence in governmental accounting and financial reporting by national governmental budgeting experts for the 14th consecutive year.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded Roseville the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the city's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

According to the GFOA, "the Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the city and its management."

"This is a very prestigious award and represents the extraordinary time, care and effort given to producing our budget each year," said Monty Hanks, City of Roseville Finance Director. "We continually strive to create budget documents that clearly communicates Roseville’s finances making it easier for our residents to find and understand this important information."

The GFOA is a non-profit professional association serving approximately 17,500 government finance professionals nationally.
