Volunteer with Us!
Looking to volunteer
at a vibrant, community-centric museum? We’re the place! We have a number of different volunteer
opportunities to fit your schedule, interests, and talents.
Docents (Tour Guides)
Docents guide tours through the museum and along the trail. The Maidu Museum & Historic Site provides school tours to classes throughout the region. Most of these tours are led by volunteers. Must be available during the week.
Looking for someone:

- With an interest in Cultural History, Anthropology/Archaeology, and/or local Ecology
- Lead fun, engaging programs and activities
Education and Program Volunteer
Looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity? Become a Weekend Program Volunteer! Our Saturday programs and activities are less formal than the school tours and provide one-on-one experiences with all museum visitors.
