The Crime Suppression Unit (CSU) is an elite investigative team within the Roseville Police Department’s Investigations Division. Detectives assigned to the Crime Suppression Unit are highly trained investigators and specialize in five areas:
- Narcotic Enforcement & Crimes Against Society
- Gang Enforcement, Suppression & Education
- Human Trafficking – Victim Centered, Trafficker Focused
- Known Offenders – Probation, Parole, PRCS & Sex Offenders
- Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Projects
The mission of the Crime Suppression Unit is to, “Improve the quality of life for the citizens of Roseville through proactive measures”.
Detectives assigned to the Crime Suppression Unit work in both traditional police uniforms and plain clothes (Undercover).
The Crime Suppression Unit accomplishes their mission through traditional policing and investigative techniques, while also utilizing modern technology and collaboration with other specialized teams throughout our region to investigate, track down and hold offenders accountable. By working with regional partners, the Crime Suppression Unit is able to follow crime trends and offenders wherever they may go and deter them from committing crime within our City.
