To assist drivers, new signal operations are now active. The City of Roseville has installed flashing yellow left turn arrows at the following intersections:
- Stone Point Drive and North Sunrise Avenue
- Stone Point Drive and Rocky Ridge Drive
No more waiting at the red light to turn left when it's clear to go. These signals help move more traffic through the intersection, improving efficiency and reducing unnecessary vehicle idling.
When the yellow arrow flashes, drivers must yield to oncoming traffic and bicyclists. When there is a safe gap in traffic, proceed to make the left turn with caution. Remember, oncoming traffic has a green light.
The signal still provides the comfort of a protected, or solid, left turn arrow during heavy oncoming traffic. For safety, the signal will turn red when the pedestrian crossing button is pushed.
Flashing yellow arrow intersections are proven to be more efficient, reducing traffic delays.
Roseville began installing flashing yellow arrows in 2016 and has continued to add additional locations throughout the city. To-date, Roseville has flashing yellow arrows at 12 locations.
