Great ready for the most wonderful time of the year as the Downtown Holiday Celebration returns to Vernon Street Town Square on December 1-3.

Gingerbread House Contest

Design and build your own gingerbread house and enter it into the 4th annual gingerbread house contest. All entries will be on display in the Civic Center, December 1 - December 10 for the community to enjoy. While the gingerbread creations are on display, stop by or go online to vote for your favorite.

Tree Grove

Come visit the 9th annual Tree Grove on the Square! Local businesses, organizations and schools have the opportunity to decorate trees in the Square. This night, the trees in the grove are officially lit, and families can enjoy making Christmas crafts, music, visiting with Santa and food! Tree Grove takes place rain or shine. Christmas Tree Lighting

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The City’s Christmas Tree is officially lit tonight on the Square. Experience an old fashion celebration and holiday cheer with decorating cookies, visiting with Santa, kids activity zone, music, food and celebration. The weather is even forecasted for some snow! Thursday, December 2, 6:00–8:00pm

North Pole Tavern

Toast to the holidays with some wine and brews. $10 entry fee includes a total of six tastings. This event benefits recreation programs for at risk youth. In the case of inclement weather, check back by 3:00pm on the event day for updates. If you would like to participate as a food vendor, brewery or winery, visit the Downtown Holiday Celebration webpage (link at bottom).
